I learnt to ride in a wonderful riding school and that’s where it all started for me, my riding instructor was my idol and the dream began. The years I spent learning to ride and working at this riding school were invaluable experience that has helped make me a better coach.  When I left school I went to agricultural college and gained my British Horse Society Assistant Instructor qualification and from there the journey was really only just beginning. I gained practical experience in Dressage and Eventing, I taught people of all ages on all types of horses, I achieved my British Horse Society Intermediate Instructor Certificate, BHS Stable Manager and BHS Stage 5 Senior Coach Qualifications.  I spent 15 years training at the infamous Training the Teachers of Tomorrow Trust where my love of classical training flourished.  I was fortunate to receive training from some of the world’s most renowned classical masters including Charles de Kunffy and Arthur Kottas. I set up and ran my own livery yard for 10 years, before becoming a pure free-lance rider and coach.

I love to train horses of all levels and all types, and I have competed successfully in affiliated Dressage and Eventing. My real love is the training of horse, ensuring the horse is fully prepared mentally and physically so the horse is confident to do the job and able to perform to the best of his ability.

Every horse is an individual and must be treated as such so each horse’s journey to whatever its goal maybe is tailor made.  I have had training and experience in Natural Horsemanship and often use this to prepare young horses or use it with horses that need retraining where appropriate. I thoroughly enjoyed riding my own and other people’s horses and offer schooling services.  I am a fully qualified ITEC Equine Sports Massage Therapist and this enhances my assessment of the horses biomechanics and way of going.

I have completed the Advanced Centre 10 Coaching program, which has given me an extended knowledge and the tools to help riders develop their mental strength and improve their riding performance.  Mind set and psychology play a huge part in sport, everyday life and work, developing the clients awareness of this area and giving them tools to help them is hugely rewarding.  I offer un-mounted session in person or online for mind-set training.

``Without the fantastic help I have received from Christine, I would have given up on my boy a long time ago. My horse has gone from being cheeky, green and throwing his weight around, to a little superstar whom is coming along very nicely. Christine has also really helped me improve as a rider and I cannot recommend her enough!``

``Christine is one of those special people who is passionate about her work and is committed to both Horse and Rider to be in a 'Happy Place'. She continues to train and expand her own knowledge to pass onto others through her teaching and guidance. I have been fortunate to have Christine by my side throughout my riding experiences from one of my very first riding lessons to owning my own beautiful Connemara. I cannot thank Christine enough, without her encouragement and commitment I know that my Conne' and I would not be together and having so much fun.``

Julia Murphy

A remarkable coach that works with you and your horse to improve your riding ability, mentally and physically. Christine increases your confidence and understanding of how to achieve a harmonious relationship in and out of the saddle and I highly recommend her.

Amanda Gunning Sabini

I always enjoy my sessions with Christine. There is always a clear progression in the session incorporating interesting exercises and patterns to develop my horses training and mine. . This helps me to replicate sessions when I am on my own and she is always happy to make diagrams or notes on the session to advance my independent riding. She is great at explaining things and if you lack confidence she is perfect to help you develop your riding mindset.

Jane Clifford

I have known Christine since the days of the TTT, where she studied to establish correct classical riding and training techniques. More recently I have worked with her as a coach and found her to be unfailingly positive and effective, and a sympathetic rider who always aims to produce the best partnership possible with individual horses, irrespective of talent or competition goals. This endows her with a sound and ethical approach to riding and training, backed up by her continued quest to expand her knowledge base.
